P10150UX-V01 is a 10.1" TFT LCD display module with a resolution of 1024RGB(H)×600(V), luminance of 260 cd/m², and a contrast ratio of 500:1, connected via a 50-pin FPC and driven over an RGB 24-bit parallel interface. The display mode is Normally White with a 6 o'clock viewing direction, driven by an EK79001 IC, and the module operates from −20°C to +70°C. Target applications include industrial HMI terminals, portable medical instruments, in-vehicle cabin displays, and tablet-class embedded systems.
The active display area is 222.72(H)×125.28(V)mm inside an outline of 235.00×143.00×6.55mm. Pixel arrangement is RGB Vertical Stripe with 262K color depth (18-bit). The backlight uses an LED side-light configuration integrated within the 6.55mm module stack.
This RGB 24-bit LCD module uses a direct parallel bus — 8 bits each for red, green, and blue — plus HSYNC, VSYNC, DE, and DCLK control lines on a 50-pin, 0.5mm-pitch FPC. Application processors with a native LCD interface controller (LCDIF, TCON, or LTDC) connect without a bridge IC, which is the case for NXP i.MX 6/7/8, Allwinner A/T series, Rockchip RK3xxx, and STM32MP1/STM32H7 families.
Pixel clock frequency and timing parameters — horizontal/vertical front porch, back porch, and sync pulse width — must be configured within the ranges specified in the datasheet AC Timing section. Settings borrowed from other 1024×600 panels will not transfer directly; verify against P10150UX-V01-specific values. Running DCLK above the maximum rated frequency introduces display artifacts; running below the minimum causes visible flicker.
The active area is 222.72(H)×125.28(V)mm, with a pixel pitch of 0.0641(H)×0.1784(V)mm. The vertical pitch is approximately 2.8× the horizontal pitch — a non-square geometry inherent to WSVGA (1024×600) panels at 10.1". UI assets using circular elements or fixed-aspect-ratio images should be designed or scaled against the physical pixel dimensions rather than assuming square pixels, or the host GPU's display scaler must apply the correct aspect-ratio correction.
The outline dimensions are 235.00×143.00×6.55mm. The 6.55mm total depth accommodates the LED side-light backlight assembly, light guide plate, diffuser, and brightness enhancement films within the module stack. PCB and enclosure designs should reserve this full Z-depth plus FPC bend-clearance of at least 5mm beyond the connector edge.
Luminance is 260 nit and contrast ratio is 500:1. At 260 nit, this 10.1-inch TFT LCD module is suited for indoor environments and covered-outdoor use cases where ambient illuminance stays below approximately 500 lux. Direct-sunlight deployment (50,000–100,000 lux ambient) will render the display difficult to read; applications in that environment should specify a sunlight-readable variant rated at 800 nit or above, or apply an anti-reflective surface treatment combined with optical bonding to reduce the air-gap reflection loss.
The Normally White display mode renders the screen white when unpowered. This is the default state in many industrial panel designs and reduces the visual impact of a power-cycle event in the field. The 6 o'clock viewing direction optimizes contrast and grayscale gamma for a viewer positioned below the screen center — appropriate for table-mounted, dashboard-mounted, or tilted-stand configurations. Installations where operators view from above or at varied angles should use an IPS panel instead.
The module uses a single EK79001 display driver IC, which integrates both source and gate driver functions for WSVGA-class panels. All display control is handled through the RGB parallel interface and timing signals from the host; no direct register access to the EK79001 is required during normal operation. The IC's initialization sequence is executed at power-on via the module's internal logic and does not require a separate MCU command sequence unless gamma or power settings need to be customized for the application.
Engineers customizing gamma curves or power supply sequencing should obtain the EK79001 register map from the module datasheet's appendix. Incorrect power-on sequencing — particularly applying VLED before VDD — can latch the driver IC into an error state requiring a full power cycle to recover. Follow the power-on timing diagram in the datasheet exactly during hardware bring-up.
Operating temperature is −20°C to +70°C; storage temperature is −30°C to +80°C, meeting IEC 60068-2 industrial-grade thermal class requirements. These ratings cover indoor factory automation panels, portable medical instruments that experience ambient variation, and in-vehicle cabin displays in temperate to hot climates.
The lower limit of −20°C does not qualify this module for cold-start conditions in high-latitude regions where cabin temperatures can fall below −20°C before the vehicle's heating system raises the interior temperature. Liquid crystal response time degrades measurably before the rated lower limit is reached; evaluate cold-start display latency in your specific thermal environment if deployment includes sub-zero ambient conditions. For AEC-Q100 Grade 2 automotive qualification (−40°C to +105°C), a separate automotive-grade panel variant is required.
The 1024×600 resolution and 222.72×125.28mm active area of this 10.1-inch TFT display module cover a broad set of industrial use cases. HMI control panels in process automation, CNC machine interfaces, and SCADA operator stations commonly use 10.1" WSVGA panels because the screen area accommodates multiple parameter readouts and control widgets simultaneously at legible font sizes without requiring a higher-cost 1280×800 panel.
Data loggers and portable measurement instruments benefit from the 50-pin RGB interface's direct compatibility with low-power industrial SoCs. The module's −20°C lower operating bound covers most indoor factory environments. For outdoor or unheated enclosure deployments, confirm the ambient temperature profile against the module's rated range and the LC response-time specifications at low temperature.
In medical instrument design, 10.1" panels at 1024×600 are used in portable ultrasound handhelds, bedside patient monitors, and infusion pump controllers where the screen must display waveforms, alphanumeric readouts, and alarm indicators concurrently. The RGB 24-bit interface allows direct frame writes from the host processor without a frame-buffer bottleneck, which matters for real-time waveform rendering at update rates of 30 fps or higher.
The 6.55mm module thickness and 235.00×143.00mm outline fit standard 10.1" tablet enclosure tooling, reducing mechanical design cost when adapting an existing platform. For medical-grade applications requiring IEC 60601-1 electrical safety compliance, confirm that the backlight driver circuit and power supply design meet the applicable isolation and leakage current limits — the module itself does not carry a medical device certification, which must be obtained at the system level.
In the 10.1-inch TFT LCD module market, the primary selection dimensions are interface type (RGB 24-bit vs. LVDS vs. MIPI DSI), resolution tier (1024×600 WSVGA vs. 1280×800 WXGA vs. 1920×1200 FHD), luminance tier (standard 250–300 nit vs. high-brightness 700–1000 nit), and panel technology (TN 6-o'clock vs. IPS all-direction). P10150UX-V01 occupies the standard-brightness, WSVGA, RGB-parallel segment — the segment with the widest processor compatibility and lowest integration cost.
Projects requiring higher pixel density should evaluate 1280×800 variants at the same 10.1" diagonal (pixel pitch ≈ 0.1588mm square). Projects with multi-direction viewing requirements should select IPS variants. If the host platform only exposes LVDS output, an RGB-to-LVDS serializer adds board area and increases BOM cost; confirm the host interface type before finalizing the panel. MIPI DSI hosts require a DSI-to-RGB bridge, such as the TI SN65DSI83, which adds similar cost and latency overhead.
